Terra di Nonno is more than a brand; it’s a family story, a story from the heart. It is a tribute to Filippo Terriaca, affectionately known as “Nonno,” a man of the land, of values, and of traditions. Filippo, born in Frosolone in the Molise region, was a passionate farmer deeply connected to his native soil. He cultivated his fields with love, respecting the rhythms of nature and passing down his ancestral knowledge to his children.
In the 1960s, with courage and determination, Filippo and his wife Magdalena left their beloved homeland to settle in Canada, bringing with them the flavors and traditions of Molise. In Montreal, they recreated a little piece of Italy by opening a small grocery store where they offered homemade cheeses, fresh pasta, olive oil, and products crafted just like in their village. Their son, Felice, grew up in this warm environment, surrounded by the aromas and tastes of their homeland.
Today, Felice carries on this legacy through Terra di Nonno. Every product we offer is a testament to Filippo’s love for his land and his family. From our cheeses to our olive oil, our pasta, and our truffles, everything reflects Nonno’s values: simplicity, authenticity, and excellence.
